Hi there! A little bit about me.

Hello! I wanted to create a separate blog post to introduce myself if you’re new here. While my blog has been a bit inactive lately, I’m ready to jump right back to share some tidbits. Blog posts are not a substitute for therapy, but if it helps you become curious about yourself and your experiences then I’m all for it! If you find yourself reading a post (this one included), and you have questions/comments/concerns, introduce yourself and email me!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here in CT and have gained experience with many different populations. I’ve worked all over Connecticut with pregnant moms, infants, adolescents, teens, adults, and the elderly. I’ve worked in a variety of settings; high school, hospital, community mental health, and currently, private practice. Also, I’m a social work consultant for a local daycare/preschool. Working with a variety of populations in different fields has helped further my understanding of the lifespan and human condition.

I work with clients in understanding why they’re seeking therapy, what they’re trying to accomplish, and how I can be a conduit for them. I am first and foremost a relational therapist and utilize psychodynamic theory, transpersonal theory, IFS/parts work, and mindfulness based therapy.

I also want to acknowledge the original inhabitants of the land I live on; the lands of the Hammonnasstes, Quinnipiac, and Wappinger First Nations. This land and the cycle of seasons we experience, remind me of the intimate connection between us and the rhythms of nature.

As an ally to marginalized communities, I am a strong proponent of inclusivity and access to therapy and human services.

I value compassion, authenticity, empathy, kindness, and humor. I appreciate being in nature, playing outside, and enjoying a cup of coffee or tea with a great book. I honor the vulnerability my clients express and the real and raw emotion that we feel together.
